Lake Biwa has always been a mecca for black bass fishing, but I heard there was a place where you could eat black bass hamburgers (a fish not usually eaten), so I went to check it out. BIWAKO DAUGHTERS I went to a shop called "BIWAKO DAUGHTERS" near the Biwa Lake Bridge. The exterior is very stylish. It's not a cafe, but there are benches outside where you can rest and eat what you've bought. Inside the shop The interior has a counter shaped like a boat, displaying side dishes and sweets made with fish and shrimp caught in Lake Biwa. I've seen things like funazushi (fermented crucian carp sushi), simmered sweetfish, and fried shrimp at local delis, but... Cheesecake and Pizza Pizza made with river shrimp and cheesecake made with sake lees from Shiga's famous sake are quite unusual. I tried the cheesecake, and it was incredibly fluffy and delicious. Bass Burger And this is the BASS BURGER I was looking forward to. Since the bun is made from French bread, it looks more like a sandwich (banh mi). I asked the staff to warm it up in the microwave and toaster, and decided to eat it in the car. It's topped with a large fried black bass that's almost overflowing from the bun, tartar sauce, bell peppers, onions, and lettuce. The fried bass had no fishy smell and was crispy and fluffy. The tartar sauce with pickles was refreshing and delicious. It was very filling and satisfying. Black bass, a popular game fish, is now prohibited from being released back into the wild due to recent concerns about invasive species... Rather than cruelly leaving them to die, this is a good option in terms of local production and consumption. Something I've always wanted to try at least once when visiting Shiga: "The Black Bass Sandwich at BIWAKO DAUGHTERS🐟🥪" ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I enjoyed it by the shores of Lake Biwa on a beautiful sunny day☀️ Eating a meal while gazing at the blue sky and Lake Biwa is just the absolute best‼️ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ "Wait, can you even eat black bass?!" I was a bit scared taking my first bite, but it didn't have any weird aftertaste, and it was perfectly crispy and so delicious~🤤 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ It's a unique local specialty of Lake Biwa that you rarely get the chance to eat, so definitely give it a try when you visit Shiga! ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ There were some other baked goods that caught my eye, so I'll grab those next time I go😋 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I highly recommend taking your time and relaxing while eating by the lake on a sunny day🌿 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 📍 BIWAKO DAUGHTERS 1-21-7 Honkatata, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

🏖️Overview: Mount Mikami, with an elevation of 432 meters, is not a particularly tall mountain, but its shape is exceptionally beautiful✨. It has long been referred to as "Omi Fuji" and is one of Kansai's 100 Famous Mountains. Comprising two peaks, Otoko-yama (Male Mountain) and Onna-yama (Female Mountain), this mountain is cherished as a place worth climbing not just once, but twice or even three times. It can be viewed👀 from various locations within the prefecture, offering a sense of tranquility to those who see it. 💞Recommended Reasons: We parked at Mikami Shrine⛩️ and ascended via the front trail, descending via the back trail. Surprisingly, it only takes about an hour🥾 to climb. Along the way, you can try passing through🪨🪨 a rock crevice known as Warishi. There is also an observation deck where you can enjoy views of Lake Biwa💦 and the snow-capped Hira mountain range🏔️. At the summit, you will find the inner shrine of Mikami Shrine, which serves as the sacred object of worship. 📍Location: 📮520-2323 Mikami, Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture 📍Access: By train: 8 minutes by bus and 35 minutes on foot from JR Yasu Station By car: 10 minutes by car from Meishin Ritto IC

Opened in August 2025, Shiga Mock is an indoor play area in Shiga Prefecture that focuses on wood education. I recently visited this fascinating spot! Tucked away in a quiet alley near the bustling Dotonbori, Hozenji Temple feels like a secret escape from the city's neon lights. The temple is best known for its moss-covered Fudo Myoo statue, which visitors splash with water for good luck. The atmosphere here is serene, with stone-paved paths, lanterns, and a sense of old Osaka. It’s a small temple, but its charm lies in the contrast between the peaceful surroundings and the vibrant nightlife just steps away. Visiting at night is especially magical, as the flickering lanterns add a mystical touch. Don’t forget to explore Hozenji Yokocho, a narrow alley next to the temple lined with traditional restaurants and izakayas. If you’re looking for a cultural experience in the heart of Osaka, Hozenji is a must-visit.

Located in the Arashiyama area In the suburbs of Kyoto The atmosphere inside the temple is both quiet And because the trees around the temple are quite dense The temple is shady all day long There is one point that is called the highlight of this temple That is the garden. It has a unique identity Because inside the garden there are green moss alternating with maple trees So during the general time it is green and looks cool But the most beautiful time must be the autumn leaves #Get a discount without relying on luck #japantrip #japantravel #VisitKyoto #autumnleaves

biwako shinasahi machi in spring is beautiful and cool air

Both the tower gate and the worship hall are wing towers, making this a magnificent and strict shrine. It was built in the Nara period, and in the Engishiki, the deity enshrined is Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, but it seems that 36 nearby shrines are included in the joint monument from the Meiji and Taisho periods. In front of the torii gate, a stream separates the shrine from the secular world, and the torii gate, tower gate, and worship hall are lined up in a straight line along the approach, and the beauty of the wing towers is highlighted by the shape of the towers. Once you pass through the tower gate, the trees of the forest add to the tranquility and strictness. However, the stiffness is softened by the turtle and ground cherries, which are the family crests of the temizuya. The worship hall is also magnificent, and the atmosphere of the minister guarding it beside the wing tower is good. The main hall is in the Shinmei-style Nagare-zukuri style. The scale and atmosphere are great, so if you are invited, please stop by. #Autumn trip #Accommodation record #Halloween #Amazing view #Gourmet #Summer trip #Couple trip
