Grand Mercure Bandung Setiabudi

It was our first time staying at Grand Mercure and we definitely will be back here if we visit Bandung again. The warm pool water is really a great facility, we could still swim in the late afternoon/ early evening without worrying felt cold. The room was spacious and clean. The modern decor makes the whole ambiance felt nice and cozy. The food for breakfast was nice and had spread of variety of international and local food. The local cuisine really deserved a shout out, taste was very authentic. And what really left a great impression was the hospitality of the staff. One of the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon check in, there was no more connecting room available under the same room type. We traveled with our family and thus it is necessary for us to be in connecting room. The staff was very kind to do free upgrade so that we can get the connecting room. It was very nice and we really appreciate it. On top of that, she also suggested few nice places to visit. It made us feel welcomed. One draw back was the outdoor place at the breakfast area. We enjoyed having breakfast outdoor, but there were a lot of flies, which made it very uncomfortable and felt unhygienic. We told the staff about it, they were very unapologetic but said there is nothing they can do because it was due to the rainy season. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bandung.
