Winter Wonderland: Banff in the Snow

Banff National Park in winter is a real-life fairy tale world. The scenery is just as beautiful as in other seasons, and there are unique experiences to be had in winter. ⛄️ Banff Icewalk (Johnston Canyon Icewalk) The winter icefall is a highlight of Banff, and the frozen Johnston Canyon is perfect for hiking. Along the icy canyon trail, you'll see icefalls that aren't visible in other seasons, and you might even see ice climbers challenging the frozen falls. The trail is divided into the Lower Falls (2.7 km, about 1 hour round trip) and the Upper Falls (5.4 km, about 2 hours round trip). Be sure to wear crampons for safety, and go with a professional guide. 🛷 Ice Sports Lake Minnewanka: The entire lake is frozen in winter, perfect for ice skating or ice fishing. Mt. Norquay Snow Tubing: Suitable for both adults and children, great for family activities. 🦌 Wildlife Viewing In winter, you might be lucky enough to see elk, goats, or even wolves.
