Wat Arun & The Grand Palace in Bangkok

The Grand Palace, also known as the Great Palace, is the royal palace of the Thai (Siamese) royal family. Adjacent to the Chao Phraya River, it is a large-scale ancient architectural complex (28 in total) in the center of Bangkok, with a total area of 218,400 square meters. The Grand Palace was built in 1782 and has been continuously renovated and expanded by generations of kings, eventually becoming this grand palace complex, still resplendent. The Grand Palace was built in imitation of the old palace in the old capital, Ayutthaya. The Grand Palace is one of the many palaces in Thailand, and it is the most perfectly preserved, largest, and most ethnically characteristic palace.
