The Capella Hotel in Bangkok excels with its river views and sense of tranquility

It is well known that the Capella Hotel in Bangkok and the neighboring Four Seasons Hotel share the same owner, and both are positioned as luxury hotels, sharing a dock and shuttle boat. However, their designs, tones, and atmospheres are distinctly different. The main building of the Capella Hotel is closer to the Chao Phraya River, so most of the rooms face the river directly and have terraces, offering a stronger holiday vibe. The rooms are more detailed and have better hardware. But in terms of interior design, it is more restrained and homely, lacking the immediate wow factor of surprise, but instead offering a more comfortable, homely feeling for longer stays. Another point is that there is only one swimming pool not adjacent to the river; although it is quieter due to fewer rooms and guests, the public area lacks a sense of relaxation.
