This time I chose Casa Vimaya Riverside Hotel, located on Phra Sumen Road, just a 5-minute walk from the bustling Khao San Road. The transportation is very convenient, and it is also very close to the surrounding attractions. The location of this hotel is really great! Although it is very close to Khao San Road, it is very quiet because it is located on a parallel street. The hotel is decorated in a modern and simple style, and the facilities are very complete. When I first arrived at the hotel, the front desk was very enthusiastic, and the check-in procedure was very smooth. I booked a river view room, the room is spacious and bright, the bed and pillows are super comfortable, really suitable for rest. And the facilities in the room are also very complete, and the details are very considerate. The only regret is that the terrace of the room faces a tributary of the canal, not the Chao Phraya River, but you can still see the fish foraging in the waterway, which is also interesting. The check-in experience is very good, especially the swimming pool on the roof. Although there is no parasol, it is really good to blow the wind by the pool. Although there are not many styles of breakfast in the morning, there are basic Western options, such as square bread, croissants, fried eggs and sausages, etc., which are enough to eat. There are also many places worth visiting around, such as the famous Wat Pho, which is very close. Wat Pho is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok, with the largest reclining Buddha in Bangkok, as well as many pagodas and carvings, which are really recommended to see. In addition, there are some good restaurants nearby, such as Amaya Food Gallery, Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin and Bar Milano, etc., which can meet the needs of various tastes. Of course, if you are picky, there are still some shortcomings. For example, the terrace of the room is a bit small, and the light is relatively dark at night, but these do not affect the overall check-in experience. Moreover, in terms of price, if it can be controlled at around HKD 500 per night, it will be more cost-effective. Overall, I am very satisfied with this accommodation experience.
