Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn in Bangkok ✨

#bangkok Wat Arun is an iconic temple in Thailand with an imposing Khmer prang decorated with colourful bits of porcelain originally from China. The temple was named after Aruna, a Hindu God known for its radiations of the rising sun. The temple is an imposing sight on Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya river in Yai district. I recommend arriving before 9 am as it gets super busy afterwards. 🎟️ 100 baht + a free little water bottle 🕰️ Opens 8.30 am - 6 pm 👚Shoulders & knees should be covered. Please dress respectfully, else you’ll have to rent a Sarong at the entrance at an additional cost. ⛴️ Cross river ferry from Tha Tien Pier to Wat Arun Pier is 5 baht. Sanam Chai MRT 🚇 is closest to Tha Tien Pier.
