If you can only come in August, try to arrange indoor museum visits at midday, and visit outdoor attractions in the morning and evening. Carry a sun/rain umbrella and sun protection products with you. Baoding boasts the dual charm of historical sites and natural scenery, but there's no need to squeeze in during the peak summer season!
