Ranwu Lake is located in a narrow section of the mountain stream at the eastern junction of the Bersula Ridge and the Gangri Waterfall Mountains, stretching about 26-27 kilometers. It consists of three lake areas: upper, middle, and lower. It is one of the classic scenic spots on the Sichuan-Tibet line. Photography Time: The best times to photograph Ranwu Lake are in the early morning and at dusk. In the early morning, Ranwu Lake is shrouded in mist, surrounded by pristine snow-capped mountains, creating a fairyland-like atmosphere. At dusk, Ranwu Lake takes on a different hue, with the setting sun casting a glow on the lake's surface, reflecting the beautiful snow-capped mountains. This is the true beauty of the snowy plateau—tranquil and elegant. It is recommended not to shoot just before sunset; it's best to start shooting an hour or so earlier when the sun's angle is not too low. Photography Spot Recommendations: Heading west along the Palong Zangbu River, about ten kilometers from Ranwu Town, there is a village called "Wa Village." The houses in the village are typical of the southeastern Tibetan forest area, built extensively with wood, including the roofs.
