Tian Pao Kong Chinese Temple: Home of the 68-Foot Ji Gong Statue

The Tian Pao Kong Chinese Temple in Yong Peng has a fascinating 68-feet tall Ji Gong Bronze Statue. Ji Gong, also known as Daoji or Hu Yin, was a famous Buddhist monk known for his unusual behavior and miraculous powers. Over time, he became very popular, and this statue shows how important he is in the culture. The temple is an interesting place to visit. Although the main temple isn’t very fancy, the grounds have some impressive statues, including the Ji Gong statue and a wishing tree. There are also 18 Ro Han stone statues along a trail. Visitors can take photos with the Ji Gong statue. Keep in mind that the temple is outdoors, so it's better to visit on a clear day. The temple is open all year, and there’s no entrance fee.
