The Yongding Tower on Eagle Mountain symbolizes eternal stability and tranquility

"Beijing Garden Expo Park: Yongding Tower" is located on the banks of the Yongding River, atop Eagle Mountain, and is one of the iconic thematic structures of the Beijing Garden Expo. The Yongding Tower features an attic-style architecture with a cement frame complemented by a wooden structure. Its exterior is an octagonal nine-story wooden tower in the style of the Liao and Jin dynasties, with a height of 69.7 meters and a base diameter of 42 meters. As an observation tower, each level of the Yongding Tower has a 360-degree viewing balcony. From the tower, one can overlook the entire Garden Expo Park up close and have a panoramic view of the entire city of Beijing in the distance. The Yongding Tower, together with the adjacent Lian Shi Lake and Garden Expo Lake, forms a picturesque landscape painting that integrates the lake's reflection of the tower and the surrounding mountains.
