Beijing | Stroll down Drum Tower West Street to experience the charm of old Beijing

The charm of old Beijing mainly lies in its courtyard houses, hutongs, and pigeon whistles. Compared to the bustling Drum Tower East Street, which is crowded with tourists, Drum Tower West Street is my top choice. Located next to lively attractions such as Shichahai and the Drum Tower, it is exceptionally quiet, yet retains the authentic atmosphere of old Beijing. Walking on Drum Tower West Street, which has a history of eight hundred years, the afternoon sun spills onto the poplar trees, as if narrating the stories of Beijing. It is definitely a great spot for a Beijing Citywalk. Tomorrow is Mother's Day.
