The 'Sanxingdui' exhibition has come to Beijing on a business trip (Beijing)

The Grand Canal Museum, which has always been lukewarm, instantly heated up with the arrival of 'Sanxingdui'. The excitement level is comparable to the weather in the capital city in July and August, making people feel ecstatic and unable to stop . The transportation is quite convenient, as it is close to the exit of the East Sixth Ring Road and the Guangqu Expressway Tunnel. As for parking, there is no place to park at the museum, but you can directly search for the Beijing Art Center. The A3 elevator exit is the closest to the museum, about four to five hundred meters away . We arrived at 5 PM on Sunday afternoon. There was no need to queue at the entrance, but the crowd was still quite large. There are a total of 12 exhibition halls, with Sanxingdui arranged in Halls 1 and 2 on the first floor. Halls 3-12 are distributed on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Most visitors are concentrated on the first floor, while the second and third floors are not crowded. As the East Pavilion of the Capital Museum, the exhibits here are not as substantial as those in the old museum outside the city. The basic exhibition halls are in Halls 3, 4, 5, and 6, mainly introducing the history of the Grand Canal and its connection with Beijing in chronological order. Halls 7-12 are special exhibitions, including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Special Exhibition, the Ancient Colored Glazed Porcelain Exhibition from the Palace Museum, and the Beijing Cultural Relics Exchange Center's Treasured Relics Exhibition. The entire venue is large and has advanced facilities. If you want to visit carefully, it will take at least half a day . The most impressive exhibit for me was the bronze sitting dragon in picture 2. Its unique shape, smooth lines, and overall sense of power and beauty left a deep impression on me . We went to the first floor around 6:30 PM and started queuing. Although the queue still looked quite exaggerated, it only took ten minutes to enter the exhibition hall. The Sanxingdui artifacts are indeed shocking, with shapes very different from the common bronze ware of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Due to the lack of writing, their actual functions are all speculative. The various incredible structures are truly eye-opening . The Sanxingdui special exhibition will continue until October 10th. It is estimated that the heat will decrease after the summer vacation, and the visiting experience will be better. Friends who like it should not miss it. After all, it is hard to get a ticket in Guanghan. Here, you not only save the trouble of traveling but also do not need a reservation and it is free, which is simply wonderful .
