Sukhothai Historical Park, a hidden gem not to be missed in Thailand travel.

Having seen the magnificent Grand Palace in Bangkok, coming to Sukhothai is to experience simplicity and vicissitudes. Looking back at the old photos today, I really want to go and see it again. Located between Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Sukhothai means "dawn of happiness" in Thai and was the capital of the first independent kingdom established by the Thai people in the 13th century. The Sukhothai dynasty lasted for 200 years and witnessed the most brilliant cultural achievements in history. Sukhothai Historical Park is a world cultural heritage site, including 25 historical sites inside the ancient city of Sukhothai and 70 outside, mostly temples and palaces. The park is very large, rent a bicycle 🚲, ride around, the emerald green lawn, red brick pagodas, and occasionally meet children who come to visit, their yellow school uniforms add a touch of brightness here. There are very few tourists here, very quiet, really can make you calm down and forget everything! 🌼Wat Mahathat Temple Sukhothai's largest temple, with towering Buddha statues, pagodas, and stone pillars densely distributed and relatively well-preserved. 🌼Wat Si Chum A narrow slit opens up on the front of the Buddha hall, wider at the bottom than at the top, revealing the seated Buddha enshrined inside from afar. ✅Small tips: 🚲Rent a bicycle for sightseeing. 🌞You can take a ✈️ to Sukhothai, where the airport has its own unique charm, like a big park with many cute animals.
