📍Sukhothai Historical Park, the first kingdom of Thailand. More than 700 years ago, this was once the ancient capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom. In the early 13th century, Sukhothai broke away from the rule of the Khmer Empire and established the first Thai dynasty, witnessing the birth of the Thai language. The devout king established countless Buddha statues and temples. On the scattered and dilapidated pedestals and Buddha statues, I saw the former glory of this dynasty. Cultural relics are a silent history.
