The stunning Wat Tham Sua is a must-visit in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand

🐯 Wat Tham Sua in Kanchanaburi Province is one of the ten most beautiful temples in Thailand, located about 17 kilometers from the city of Kanchanaburi (Kanjanaburi). It is not the same as the once-famous and controversial Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua Yannasampanno in Kanchanaburi, nor is it the Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi! 🙏 Legend has it that ascetics used to practice here and were protected by tigers, so a small temple was built next to the tiger cave. Over time, with donations from followers, the temple gradually became the magnificent sight it is today. The most striking feature of the Tiger Cave Temple is the 18-meter-tall golden Buddha, backed by a conical aureole that makes the Buddha's radiance appear even more lifelike. Buddhists and tourists from all over the world queue up to offer incense and pray for blessings. 👍 Special recommendations: 1⃣ The high tower next to the big Buddha can be climbed, and choosing the right floor height allows for a bird's-eye view of the temple and the big Buddha from the windows, comparable to aerial photography effects; 2⃣ The stairs of the temple, the square, and the arches inside the pagoda are all great spots for photography, always yielding beautiful shots; 3⃣ Behind the temple, there is a rice field with several distinctive cafes. Using the temple as a backdrop against the rice fields can result in very beautiful photos. However, if the rice fields have been harvested, the scenery will be less impressive, and it is not recommended to go there specifically for photography. 🏍️ Transportation: It is recommended to rent a motorcycle for self-driving if you can ride one.
