Changbai Mountain

#koreatrip Changbai Mountain, also known as Mount Paektu, is a volcanic mountain located on the border between China and North Korea. It is one of the most prominent features in Northeast Asia, revered in both Chinese and Korean cultures. The mountain straddles the border between China’s Jilin Province and North Korea's Ryanggang Province. It is the highest peak in the region, with its summit reaching 2,744 meters (9,003 feet) above sea level. Heaven Lake (Tianchi): The mountain is famous for its stunning crater lake, Heaven Lake, which is located at the summit of the dormant volcano. The lake is often shrouded in mist, adding to its mystical atmosphere.
