Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple, draped in gold on the mountain called Doi Suthep. Doi Suthep is a mountain located in the west of Chiang Mai, Thailand, is 15 kilometers from Chiang Mai city center. To walk up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, you will pass by the iconic Naga staircase. From the temple, you have a panoramic view over Chiang Mai. There are two ways to get up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep: either by walking up the seven-headed serpent stairs or taking an electric tram, which requires an additional charge.
