Old School 1950s Coffee

On the second floor of Chinatown complex food centre, you will be overwhelmed by the number of food stalls and drink stalls available there. With so many choices, it's hard to decide what you want to eat or drink. One particular stall stood out with its long queue and I realised this stall's menu is so basic, selling only old school breakfast like toast, eggs and coffee or tea. The stall's name is called The 1950s coffee. There, you see an elderly man brewing your coffee and tea. I ordered a cup of kopi Gao (thick coffee) and teh (milk tea). The coffee was strong and robust while the tea was milky and fragrant. A cup of drink only cost $1.20, which was relatively cheap. I love the old school vibe and how the coffee/tea was brewed in a traditional way. We need more of this as most coffee nowadays are brewed by machines instead, losing the human touch.
