A vista of fresh greenery greets the eyes. The keyword for this trail is comfort, with the most rapeseed flowers and bamboo groves along the way. The rapeseed flowers had mostly fallen off by the time of my visit, but that's alright. The scent of fresh grass throughout the journey, the tender leaves covering the hills, and the sudden appearance of a small ditch playing its tune by your side, all make for a clear and gentle hiking route that's perfect for clearing your mind. Address: Navigate to the "Exquisite Agriculture Demonstration Base", and look to the right bottom side upon arrival. There's a free parking lawn (last picture), and if the lawn is full, you can probably park along the village road. When I left, I saw cars parked along the roadside. I used the Chongzhou Slanting Sun Village loop of 9.98 kilometers, which took about 5 hours in total. Options are scarce. Not far from the starting point is Baita Lake, where there are many farmhouses, but few along the trail. It's best to bring your own food, and on sunny days, bring more water. Carry your trash with you; there are trash bins at two places later on. There's a spot along the trail where you can dig for 'zhe'ergen' (a type of root vegetable) at a farmhouse, 5 yuan per half kilogram. I didn't see it anywhere else~
