Great Mosque of Cordoba Interior

The Great Mosque is located at Calle Cardenal Herrero, 1, 14003 Cordoba. The Mosque Cathedral covers an area of 180m X 130m after all its historical expansions. The prayer hall is made up of a forest of columns with a harmonious colour scheme of red and white arches, there are approximately 1250 columns of varying heights and different stone materials. The prayer hall also had richly-decorated mihrab surrounded by an architecturally-defined maqsura. The Great Mosque was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, it has been a site of religious worship since the mid-century and still holds the religious significance, attracting visitors from all around the world.
