How can there be such a beautiful home, the Sun Palace

Yang Liping's Sun Palace Art Space is a residence built by Yang Liping in 2000, named the Sun Palace. The construction of the Sun Palace took 5 years. During the construction process, the designer integrated the architectural features of the Bai ethnic group's residences with Yang Liping's personal aesthetics, creating a building that integrates architectural art, space art, and life art. In 2017, Yang Liping, in order to support the Dali Prefecture government's protection of Erhai Lake, transformed the Sun Palace into an art space for the public to visit for public welfare. The Sun Palace is built on the mountain, with varying heights. The gate is built in a position halfway up the mountain according to the veins of the mountain stones. During the actual construction process, the building materials were cut to preserve the integrity of the rocks.
