The Dali known for its 'wind, flowers, snow, and moon' truly lives up to its reputation. Seeing is believing, and it's so beautiful it leaves one speechless! But it must be said that the side of Shuanglang along the Erhai Lake is still stunning! It's that kind of beauty that takes your breath away at first glance! If you're starting from Dali Ancient Town, then Shuanglang Ancient Town is one of the furthest attractions (around Erhai Lake), so plan your transportation in advance, or just stay overnight there. We took a travel bus back to Dali Ancient Town at 7:30 pm. After returning to the ancient town, we had a big meal and started the second day of our journey. We ate at a place called Dali Ark Fatty's Kitchen which was quite good, trying the special wild mushroom soup hotpot and Dai-style hand-grabbed rice, both tasted great. There's also a restaurant called Jinshan Bai Nian Ancient Courtyard Restaurant, with an antique courtyard that's quite distinctive. The Bai ethnic sour and spicy fish and Bai Cao lemon chicken are delicious, worth a try! I suggest going there around 3 pm, the scenery is most beautiful, and you can also watch the sunset. Suggested visiting time is about 3 hours. Mainly for taking photos, because the scenery is just too beautiful!!! There's not much to see on the commercial street, so manage your time accordingly. The best place to watch the sunset is near Kuixing Pavilion. To save time, we took electric carts in and out, but if you have plenty of time, you can stroll around at your leisure.
