The attractions in Dali are quite far apart. It is recommended to spend one night near Shuanglang and the rest of the time near the ancient city for more convenience. Most of the worthwhile attractions are in Haixi, and the ancient city is closer to these popular spots. For food, I recommend Zizi Coffee in Shuanglang Ancient Town (Picture 12: Roast Spring Chicken, Pork Ribs are delicious!). I didn't have high expectations when I went, but the taste was pretty good. Enjoying the food by Erhai Lake while watching the sunset is very pleasant. Also, the Four Seasons Cloud Wild Mushroom Hotpot in Shuanglang is good, and I recommend the braised rice! The cold rice noodles at Corner Time Garden Restaurant are recommended! And Fushi in the ancient city is also delicious! (Picture 13: Highly recommend the roast spring chicken, fried chicken wings, and Tom Yum soup! It was the best meal in Dali. As a Cantonese person not used to Yunnan cuisine, I could only choose Western food. We planned to stay in Dali for 6 nights, but it's not necessary to stay that long. The main attractions in Dali are Erhai Lake. In the evening, you can walk around Dali Ancient Town. During the day, go to Caicun Wharf, rent a bicycle, and ride around Erhai Lake. It will really heal your mood. There are many popular spots in the ecological corridor, but some small corners are better for photos. We randomly chose a corner to take pictures. Another recommended attraction is the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. You can take a sightseeing car up the mountain and walk down. There are many photo-worthy spots along the way, offering unique views of Erhai Lake. Since I'm not used to Yunnan cuisine and mainly looked for food near attractions, and taxis in Dali are really expensive! So the expenses were quite high. If you plan to go to Dali, make sure to budget enough money, or you won't have as much fun.
