1. Prices are very cheap (at least compared to Beijing), not as people say online. North Korean food is filling, and a meal costs no more than 40. Highly recommend President Gao's Soup and Jeonju Bibimbap. Most goods are normally priced, and sugar-coated haws are especially cheap. Strawberries are expensive, and you may be ripped off. 2. The temperature is low, the wind is strong, and it's very cold. Your lips may get chapped. Wear a down jacket, and long johns are recommended. 3. The city is small, and you can walk to many places. Moon Island and Hushan Great Wall are not worth visiting. I think the core is the Yalu River Bridge and the Memorial Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. 4. If someone asks you to pay 198 to travel around Dandong, go to Hushan Great Wall, and says they can take you to North Korea, don't go. It's a scam. These are unlicensed, unregulated private guides. 5. The Dandong cruise is worth taking! You can see the daily work of local North Korean workers up close and greet them. The cruise departs at around 9:30, 11:00, 1:30, and 3:00. Cruise 1 tours the industrial area, and Cruise 2 tours the residential area. Tickets are 60, and business hours are 9:00–16:00. 6. Seat recommendations: The first four photos in the notes were taken on the Yalu River Broken Bridge, and the last four were taken on the cruise and at the cruise terminal. The last photo was taken at the Memorial Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, where you can see Sinuiju, North Korea. Highly recommended. Finally, bring your own binoculars.
