The third day is the essence of our trip. Everest is the ideal of many outdoor people. Because it takes seven or eight hours from Shigatse to Everest, sometimes it will be closed. Along the Sino-Nepalese Highway, a passway to the Gyatso Pass, you can look out over the snowy mountains in the distance. The light flowing clouds drifted through the mountains. Although it was not Everest, it still made us feel very excited. August is still in the rainy season, and it is our luck to meet such good weather. The wind is very strong, and the ears are a little painful. It is best to bring a scarf and a hat to avoid a high cold. The second important pass is the Gaura Pass, one of the most important passes in the Tibetan area. When the weather is good, you can see the Everest and four snow mountains around 8000 meters. It is a very nice lookout.
