Materials are a key element in architecture, and after careful consideration, the team chose red sandstone and bluestone as the soul elements to showcase the essence of Lingnan-inspired gardens. 'Bringing the lake into the hotel'—Inspired by the traditional Nan She ancient village of Dongguan, a chic resort sanctuary by the water was created. Guests staying in the two-bedroom lakeview villas can travel between their rooms and the public areas by boat. 🎬 Immersion: Like stepping into an art museum Entering the hotel's interior space feels like walking into an art museum. Walking through the hotel's public areas, numerous renowned artists have collectively empowered the space, outlining a sanctuary for the soul with contemporary, local art and design. The design of the hotel's room cards and special souvenirs invites local famous illustrators to redraw and outline Dongguan's classic streets, buildings, and attractions. 🎬 Enjoyment: A Banyan Tree journey of goodness and dwelling The hotel has 141 rooms and suites as well as 18 luxury villas, with extensive use of natural wood and earth-toned fabrics in the rooms, adding a sense of closeness to nature. Shelves, armchairs, and rattan cabinets combine the charm of traditional Dongguan houses with contemporary chic dwelling designs, bringing endless inspiration. The outdoor balcony is also a favorite spot of mine, with a natural space outside framed by a bamboo screen. At bedtime, light up the signature Banyan Tree essential oil, and the whole room is filled with a soothing and relaxing scent. Banyan Tree has always been known for its SPA, and this Banyan Tree SPA is specially combined with Dongguan's intangible cultural heritage, Guan Xiang. There is also an indoor constant temperature swimming pool integrated with Songshan Lake elements; an outdoor infinity pool close to nature; a fully equipped gym; and a lakeside yoga studio, all of which will create a place for physical and mental cultivation. In terms of dining, there is the 'Miyan' restaurant that gathers global delicacies, featuring a buffet breakfast and Southeast Asian specialties in the evening.
