This time, I took my parents to visit Panda Valley at 11:10 and then headed straight to the back mountain of Qingcheng. We chartered a car from Chengdu for 650 yuan. Tickets Buy tickets in advance on the 'Qingcheng Mountain Dujiangyan' account, 20 yuan for adults, 10 yuan for students, and free for children under 1.2 meters. ■ Detailed Itinerary Arrived at the visitor center at 12:00, with many restaurants nearby (prices are on the higher side). After lunch, at 13:00 we took the sightseeing bus for 20 yuan/person to the Wulong Gully trailhead, passing through Taian Ancient Town. From the trailhead, passing Wulong Bridge, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the first bamboo rafting spot, according to a three-year-old's walking pace. Although it's a small area, it's really picturesque, and the kids had a blast playing in the water. Bamboo rafting costs 20 yuan/30 minutes, and adults can sit and drink tea in the shade. Note! Children under 5 and the elderly with mobility issues should just play here and then return to the Wulong Gully trailhead to take the sightseeing bus for 10 yuan/person to Taian Ancient Town. My mom stayed with my son to play in the water and bamboo raft, while my dad and I started hiking. I recommend trying it for people aged 5-70 who can hike independently, as there is a section along the mountain on a narrow wooden walkway, and some parts are a bit steep. From the first bamboo rafting spot to the second one, it takes about 30 minutes at a normal adult pace. The two spots are similar in size, but I personally prefer the first one, with its arch bridge and pavilion, and it's quieter. From the second bamboo rafting spot to Youyi Village is the most beautiful part of the back mountain of Qingcheng, taking about 90 minutes at a normal adult pace. After reaching Youyi Village, you can follow the green route on the map for another 40 minutes and take the Jinli Cableway for 15 minutes to Taian Ancient Town. Since there are no scenic views on this 40-minute journey, I chose to take a local villager's car for 30 yuan/person from Youyi Village directly to Taian Ancient Town to meet up with my mom and son and explore the ancient town together. After visiting the ancient town, it's a 10-minute walk to the visitor center, and we started our return journey at 17:00, arriving in Chengdu at 19:00. Remember! Do not come on holidays and summer weekends, it's incredibly crowded. Remember! Don't take the local villager's car to Youyi Village first and then walk down. Although it's the same route, going downhill is much more tiring than going uphill.
