Best Hike in New Zealand - Lake Marian

This hike is generally known to be challenging and I would say it is better to have at least 1 hiking stick to ease the impact on the knees. Distance in and out: 6.1km (return same path) Elevation gain: 400m Estimation time required: 1-1.5 hour one way. 2-3 hours return Time to visit: October to April No dogs allowed on the trail 20mins in, you will be seeing a waterfall. To continue with the hike, walk past the waterfall point. At the end point, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of lake marian. There will be a reflection on sunny days with good weather. You can even take a swim. This hike is relatively quiet without many people so it is enjoyable!
