Hakodate | The right way to enjoy a million-dollar night view.

Take the Hakodate Ropeway to the top of the mountain in about 3 minutes. The observation deck at the top of the mountain is a popular spot to enjoy the magnificent night view. It is known as one of the "Three Great Night Views of Japan." The unique terrain creates a stunning view, which has been rated three stars by the Michelin Guide. At night, the city lights form a beautiful contrast with the dark sea, leaving a lasting impression. In spring, there may be a sea of clouds, and in summer, fog is common. Although the beautiful night view is not always visible, a fantastic scene may occasionally appear. Autumn is mostly sunny, with clear air and a long view. In winter, you can enjoy the beautiful combination of snow and lights. On a clear day, you can see the city of Hakodate and the Shimokita Peninsula in the distance. The observation deck at the top of the mountain is equipped with a beautiful observation lounge, indoor rest area, restaurant, event hall, and shop.
