Congtai Park, a landmark of Handan city, is also an example of ancient Chinese platform-style architecture

It is said that the purpose of building Congtai during the reign of King Wuling of Zhao was to watch song and dance performances and military drills, but the current Congtai was built in the late Qing Dynasty, reflecting the imagination of later generations about the prosperity of Zhao at its peak. Entering the park, the main gate presents the splendid garden style of the Qing Dynasty. King Wuling's Congtai towers at the center of the park, surrounded by a lake, with corridors, rainbow bridges, and pavilions scattered in an orderly fashion. There's also a stele of Emperor Qianlong's imperial poetry, blooming pink paulownia flowers, and people of all ages dressed in Warring States robes and horse-face skirts, making it a blooming backyard garden.
