Cafes beside Railway Track

Hundred years old train tracks running through the heart of Hanoi's old town have become an interesting attraction for travellers to Hanoi, especially foreigners. It is located a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake at Tran Pu Street and Phung Hung Street. The special thing that attracts the tourists is the residential area along the two sides of Hanoi Train Track, right next to the railway on the doorstep, which many of them had converted into restaurants and cafes. The street is so narrow, so they must ensure that their vehicles and things are safe whenever the train passes by. The owners of the restaurants will know the timing of the train pass, if you want to know, can check with them. There is a so called policeman, which will prevent you from going into the tracks by yourself, but you are allowed, when you are brought in by the owner to the restaurant for a drink, so before the train comes, you got the freedom to take as many photos as you like.
