You can stroll by the lake, camp (there are paid flower fields, or you can find a free camping site, such as the one recommended by a friend, Bingling), and if you're interested, you can take a boat to the opposite side of the lake to Fuxing Village (the so-called 'Little Xinjiang') for a walk, and choose a lakeside room to stay in at night. The next morning, you can drive for a few minutes to the Wawu Mountain Scenic Area for a visit. (However, the cost of the entrance ticket and cable car is indeed not low) Of course, you can also drive to another famous card of Hongya - the cool and free Qiliping holiday resort to stay for a few days, take a hike on the Qiliping forest plank road filled with negative ions.
