Temple of Literature, Khue Van

#vietnamtrip At the Temple of Literature, Khue Van is one of the impressive and unique architectures, built thanks to the contribution of the Northern Governor of Nguyen Van Thanh - a martial artist in 1805 under King Gia Long of the Nguyen Dynasty, in order to promote the value of knowledge and education. This is also the place where student tests are held every spring and autumn. Quoc Tu Giam Temple of Literature has a total of 5 doors, dividing the space of the inner area of the Temple of Literature into 5 separate layers of space, Khue Van Cac in Thanh Dat area is the 2nd layer, located between Dai Thanh and Dai Trung gates. Khue Van guard has a traditional three-sided architecture with Khue Van Cac as the main gate, on both sides are two gates of Súc Van and Bi Van, possessing the shape of a small and delicate ancient. The top floor is made of wood with striking red paint. The tile roof is built in the style of a match stack of 2 floors and 8 roofs, supported by wooden shelves, looks simple, compact but very solid, creating elegance for the overall project. The attic floor below is four square brick pillars, each side has a length of 1m, on all sides the pillars are carved with beautiful, sophisticated and highly artistic patterns. What creates the attraction for the Khue Van guard symbol is the round doors, vividly recreating the image of the sparkling star Khue in the sky, like the charisma of talented sages who always exude the beauty of wisdom and knowledge, through the design of 8 contacts, radiating straight lines projected around. The four sides on the upper floor are engraved with a pair of couplets written in Chinese characters, the content of which promotes morality and the beautiful beauty of this place. Right above the round door frame is the ancient Dai Tu with the words Khue Van Cac. Wrapped around is a soft railing strip in the shape of a convenience. 'Looking deeper into the architecture of Khue Van Cac, you can see the deep intentions hidden behind it, related to the legend ''round sky, square land''.' The outer circle reminds the sense of preserving the traditional cultural heritage of the nation. And the square at the base represents the door, bringing each Vietnamese person closer to knowledge, an open and successful future.
