I love this underrated small town in Yunnan more than Dali.

I've been to Yunnan many times, but I always overlook Jianshui. Jianshui is a low-key city full of history and culture. Locals draw water from ancient wells and chat under ancient trees every day. Everyone roasts tofu and barbecue together, talking about the interesting things that happen every day. It is far away from the hustle and bustle, and the historical and cultural atmosphere is also very strong. It is suitable for a slow-paced walk, to feel the fireworks and life.
