Songhua Lake in Jilin City is a beautiful place with mountains and lakes.

Transportation: Take Bus 33 from the east square of Jilin Railway Station (after getting off Bus 33, you need to walk for another 15 minutes to reach the visitor center. Bus 333 is not available during the May Day holiday, but there is a free bus from the west square of Jilin Railway Station to the scenic area). Tickets: CNY 10 for the scenic area, CNY 10 for the train, CNY 35 for the lake tour (50 minutes), CNY 50 for the Wuhu Island cruise, and CNY 50 for the Wuhu Island ticket. Experience: (1) Tickets: Maybe because there were a lot of people, I didn't see many ticket scalpers as mentioned in other guides. You can only buy tickets, train tickets, Wuhu Island cruise tickets, and Wuhu Island tickets at the visitor center. The staff said that cruise tickets need to be purchased at the pier. According to other guides, some people said that cruise tickets can also be purchased at the self-service machine in the visitor center. (2) The Wuhu Island cruise route is much longer than the lake tour route, but the scenery should be similar. (3) I just wanted to take a boat and enjoy the scenery, so I didn't have high expectations. Overall, it was a good experience. However, if you don't like taking boats and expect to see better scenery after taking a boat, you may find it boring.
