Regret coming late~ The 3-day, 3-night summer trip to Jiangmen with the kids was too intense

Summer vacation plan to take the kids 🚗 on a self-driving tour within Guangdong Province The newly opened 🔆 Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passageway gave me inspiration Why not take a trip to the famous hometown of overseas Chinese 📍 Jiangmen? I arranged a 3-day, 3-night itinerary at the last minute, but regretted it when I came back 😂 I found that there are too many places worth visiting here! Still wanting more - 🌈 Itinerary: Day1️⃣ Naqin Peninsula Geological Ocean Park - Stay in Kaiping Day2️⃣ Chikan Ancient Town Day Tour - Stay in Kaiping Day3️⃣ Kaiping Diaolou Zili Village - Pioneer Bookstore - Jiangmen Changdi Historical and Cultural District - 1️⃣ Naqin Peninsula Geological Ocean Park 🔹 This is a natural reserve for Chinese white dolphins. The most active period for white dolphins is from May to October each year, so you might as well try your luck 🔹 The 'Sea Stone Forest' is a unique landform here. The 3-kilometer coastal boardwalk is almost effortless, with beautiful scenery along the way, passing several beautiful beaches, steep mountain trails, and finally checking in at the sunset and wedding photography base with a scenic backdrop. The kids didn't feel tired at all and found it particularly interesting - 2️⃣ Chikan Ancient Town 🔹 As the hometown of overseas Chinese, the architecture of Jiangmen is one of its biggest features. The Chikan Ancient Town, with a history of over 300 years, is very representative. It is the largest and best-preserved ancient arcade building complex in the country. It is recommended to reserve a whole day for the tour. 🔹 Narrow stairs, Catholic Church, Lianchuan Situ Ancestral Hall, Tixi Road Arcade Corridor, etc., are all impressive check-in points. Every ancient street here is worth exploring. The occasional performances like Yingge Dance and folk music are wonderful. Taking the Dangdang car, you can feel the moments overlapping with history~ - 3️⃣ Kaiping Diaolou Cultural Tourism Area (Zili Village) 🔹 It is the only cultural building complex in Guangdong Province listed in the 'World Heritage List'. Built by local overseas Chinese to protect their hometown relatives, it integrates Chinese and Western architectural cultures, with rice fields and lotus ponds as a backdrop, creating a pleasing environment~ 🔹 Ming Shi Lou is the most exquisite one, with many imported furniture. The top floor offers a wide view, and the surrounding rural scenery is unobstructed. Sharp-eyed people might even find that this is a filming location for a certain movie~ - 4️⃣ Pioneer Grain Warehouse Bookstore 🔹 A small bourgeois bookstore transformed from an abandoned grain warehouse, retaining the shape of the warehouse and making reasonable use of the interior space, including a spiral staircase, curved reading space, and a fully transparent glass café. Every corner is designed to be spacious and comfortable. 🔹 What interests me most are the dazzling array of cultural and creative products inside. The walls are covered with posters of events from Pioneer Bookstores in various regions, such as concerts and reading clubs - 4️⃣ Changdi Historical and Cultural District 🔹 A concentrated area of arcades built by overseas Chinese in the last century, very suitable for city walks. There are many check-in streets, small shops, and food stalls worth visiting. 🔹 Due to time constraints, we only walked a short distance. The milk tea shop in Qimingli and the old brand Heji Rice Noodle Roll shop made our trip worthwhile - This is a city that makes you 😍 want to visit again. It has cultural heritage, a lively atmosphere, and is very city-like. This was just a first experience of Jiangmen, and I am already looking forward to the next trip! Three days and three nights in Jiangmen are not enough to explore all its wonders~
