Japan's Jukkoku Pass: A Panoramic View of Mount Fuji

Jukkoku Pass is located between Hakone and Izu, standing at an elevation of 765 meters. From the summit, you can see the historical ten provinces of Japan: Izu (Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture), Tōtōmi (western Shizuoka Prefecture), Kai (Yamanashi Prefecture), Suruga (central Shizuoka Prefecture), Shinano (Nagano Prefecture), Sagami (central Kanagawa Prefecture), Kazusa (central Chiba Prefecture), Shimōsa (northern Chiba Prefecture), Musashi (eastern Kanagawa Prefecture, Tokyo, Saitama Prefecture), and Awa (southern Chiba Prefecture). On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji! You can take a bus from Atami Station to the cable car station, and then ride the Jukkoku Toge Cable Car to the summit in just about 3 minutes! Besides the stunning views, you can also enjoy hiking, luxury camping, and local delicacies here. Unfortunately, the cable car was under maintenance on the day of our visit, so we couldn't go up.
