Boating and Swimming at Ban Nam Rad Watershed Forest, Surat Thani Province

Ban Nam Rad Watershed Forest is located in Moo 4, Ban Nam Rad, Ban Thamniap Subdistrict, Khiri Rat Nikhom District, Surat Thani Province. It is a lush and beautiful watershed area, with the 'Tan Nam' (water source) being the heart of this forest. The water that springs from the ground flows under the mountains and emerges at the Tan Nam point, which is crystal clear and believed by locals to be a sacred spring. The Ban Nam Rad Watershed Forest features a freshwater pond with a blue-green hue, as clear as glass, and about 1 meter deep. The pond's bottom is composed of sandy limestone sediment, keeping the water clear at all times. The water that springs from underground flows into the Malor Canal, leading to the Nam Rad Tharathong Waterfall, and then flows into the areas of Ban Nam Rad and Ban Yan Yao villages. Inside, visitors can enjoy boating and nature watching. The clear water allows you to see many fish. The boating route is approximately 1.5 kilometers long, making a round trip about 3 kilometers. The nature is beautiful and very peaceful, making it an exciting experience for children. Entrance Fee: The route to Ban Nam Rad Watershed Forest is a convenient paved road accessible by all types of vehicles. Upon arrival, there is a parking area at the front where a parking fee of 20 THB per vehicle is charged. Before entering, an entrance fee of 30 THB per person is required. If you wish to boat, an additional fee of 40 THB is charged, totaling 70 THB. For those who do not want to paddle themselves, there is an option to hire a staff member to paddle for an additional 50 THB.
