Kinderdijk

Kinderdijk is a village in the Netherlands known for its iconic 18th century windmills. I reach there by waterbus from Rotterdam, the boat trip gives you a nice impression of the area and you can take your bike on board for free, you will reach there around half hour. Originally there were 20 windmills at Kinderdijk but now 19 of them remain. You can only visit two of them inside, they were built as part of a drainage system in order to drain the excess water from the area into the river.
