Vacation in Koh Samui

The most important natural condition for an island vacation—the beach—is mainly concentrated in the northeast of Koh Samui. Among them, Chaweng Beach, Mae Nam Beach, and Bophut Beach are the more developed beaches on Koh Samui, each with very rich vacation facilities, and there are night markets and bars in the evening. Chaweng Beach, developed the earliest and with the most complete facilities, is also the longest beach on the island, stretching 7 kilometers. It is similar to Patong Beach in Phuket, both being bustling areas at the 'city center' level, with the most convenient dining, accommodation, and transportation on the island. Koh Samui is the third-largest island in Thailand, located in the Gulf of Thailand, covering an area of 247 square kilometers, surrounded by 80 mostly uninhabited small islands. The island's clean, narrow white sandy beaches are the tropical island paradise of everyone's dreams. Koh Samui has many beaches, all with clear waters and white sands, and charming scenery. Compared to the more developed Phuket, Koh Samui retains more of its natural and unspoiled atmosphere. Despite now having more than a dozen flights connecting it with Bangkok, Phuket, and Singapore daily, as well as large ferries shuttling back and forth, Koh Samui still maintains a primitive flavor independent of urban areas. At night, riding a motorcycle around the island, you can browse the various small shops along the street, taste local snacks like fried coconut balls and date palm balls made by street vendors, eat freshly cooked seafood at food stalls, or park your bike at an open-air bar for a drink. You can also watch a boxing match at the local central sports stadium.
