One of the birthplaces of the ancient Dian culture, the Guandu Ancient Town of Kunming

Guandu Ancient Town has a history of over a thousand years and is not only one of the birthplaces of the ancient Dian culture, but also a renowned Buddhist holy land in central Yunnan. Here, there are landscapes from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, including the 'Five Mountains,' 'Six Temples,' 'Seven Pavilions,' 'Eight Temples,' and hundreds of well-preserved 'Yike Yin-style' residences, once known as 'Little Yunnan.' There are numerous cultural relics and historic sites, among which the 'Diamond Pagoda' is the most famous. After the first period, the Miao Zhan Temple Diamond Pagoda in Guandu Ancient Town is the oldest of the more than ten existing Diamond Pagodas in China. This pagoda is also very spectacular, forming the core of the Guandu Ancient Town architectural complex. Guandu Ancient Town also has a long-standing delicacy called 'Guandu Baba,' which is a well-known delicacy in Kunming.
