Have you been to this important station on the century-old Yunnan-Vietnam Railway?

The Yunnan-Vietnam Railway runs from Kunming, Yunnan to Haiphong, Vietnam. It is also known as the "meter-gauge railway" because its track gauge is one meter. It is a rare narrow-gauge railway in China and the first international railway in China, with a history of more than 100 years. It is known as the third largest project in the world, comparable to the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal. The railway starts from Kunming and heads south, with the first major station being Wangjiaying Station in Chenggong District. In the early days, there were two sightseeing trains from Kunming North Station to Wangjiaying Station every day, but they were suspended due to subway construction in 2017. The station has now been transformed into a small station with two tracks, and the carriages of the previous sightseeing trains are still parked there.
