Experience of staying in two hostels in Kyoto~

1⃣️Gion Ryokan Q-beh First four pictures Attractions: Yasaka Shrine, Gion, Soundproofing: Quiet without street noise, no zipper curtain noise, air conditioning noise Checkout: 12 noon Storage: The bed is tatami, put next to the tatami➕first floor luggage room for suitcases (no lock but with camera) Bed: 8-person room (just me Bathing: 2 bathrooms on the first floor, didn't go to see.... Suitcase: The crane (for women only) where I stayed is Japanese style, the room has tatami so it's not suitcase friendly, there are steps and slippers as soon as you enter the check-in hall, and there is no elevator, so it's recommended for backpackers! The biggest advantage: Japanese style, room names are very meaningful The biggest disadvantage: Not suitcase friendly? 2⃣️B&B unagi inn Last four pictures Attractions: Kyoto Station, Kyoto Tower, Higashi and Nishi Honganji Soundproofing: No street noise, with zipper curtain, air conditioning noise Checkout: 10 a.m. Storage: Under-bed storage (shared by bunk beds) Bed: 10➕person room (a few scattered stays Bathing: There are three bathrooms on the women's only floor, with toiletries Suitcase: Traditional hostel suitcase under the bed, with elevator The biggest advantage: Women's only floor, no men on the whole floor The biggest disadvantage: Zipper curtain, average location, actually 18min walk from Kyoto Station 🛏Room facilities: Overall, both hostels are very good, the one near Kyoto Station is a bit cheaper, and it's suitcase friendly. But the one in Gion is very interesting and less crowded hhh
