If you're also a fan of 'nuo ji ji', then you must visit the renowned 'nuo ji ji' capital - Taizhou, and let the local delicacies conquer your taste buds! 🍛 The treasure city of Zhejiang's snack ceiling - Linhai, is truly worth visiting. It's not only the hometown of Xin Rong Ji, but also boasts over 140 dazzling varieties of snacks. 💖 Linhai's attractions and snacks are relatively concentrated, The ancient Great Wall of the South is the blueprint for the Badaling Great Wall, The historic Longxing Temple was the residence of the Tang Dynasty monk Jianzhen, and is the birthplace of the Tendai sect in Japan⛩️. Not to mention the particularly retro miniature of the millennium-old city - Ziyang Street. Here, it's not just about the beautiful sights and photo opportunities, but also the endless variety of glutinous 'nuo ji ji' snacks that you simply can't finish. ⭐ Linhai Delicacies: Seaweed cakes, wheat shrimp, bubble shrimp, sheep tail egg white, stewed round, inlaid cake, large intestine rice cake, fried sesame glutinous rice, glutinous rice fritters, plum blossom cake, glutinous rice fritters, black rice sesame glutinous rice, rice wine, ginger stewed egg, small intestine roll, herbal jelly. Besides Ziyang Street, there are various delicacies in streets and alleys like Ximen Street and Chicheng Road, and you're unlikely to be disappointed. ⭐ Linhai is also the headquarters of Xin Rong Ji, with a series of 'Rong' restaurants: Xin Rong Ji & Rong Ji Hotpot, Rong Family Snacks, Jiangnan Rong Zhuang, Rong Xiao Guan, Hong Kong Season Tea Restaurant, Rong Family Sichuan Flavor Restaurant. I checked out the more affordable Rong Xiao Guan. The taste was generally good, but the value for money was not high. The sand garlic braised bean noodles were expensive and fishy, consisting only of bean noodles and a few sand garlics🧄 without any other condiments, making it rather monotonous. The bean noodles are similar to the Putian Si Fen we are used to, and if you're accustomed to the seafood and meat slices in Putian Si Fen, you might find this 138 yuan bowl of bean noodles bland. ⭐ Linhai Accommodation In Linhai, it's more convenient to stay inside the ancient city. This time I stayed at Linhai Yingchunli Homestay, right next to the Chaotian Gate of Taizhou Prefecture's Great Wall. It's convenient for sightseeing, offers good value for money, and the courtyard room I booked had its own private yard. The breakfast was also very good, with many local snacks. However, the homestay has been open for a few years, and the overall facilities are slightly outdated. In conclusion, Linhai has given me so many surprises. If you love food and are looking for an ancient city in the south of the Yangtze River, then Taizhou Linhai is truly worth it.
