The InterContinental hotels in the beautiful country are worth checking in to experience a different kind of InterContinental feast

It's hard to believe that one day I would shout out for an American hotel, and it's also unimaginable that an InterContinental would make me so comfortable to stay in, indeed, it's no less than the high configuration of new hotels in Asia. Let's talk about the history briefly. The 'InterContinental Downtown Los Angeles' was originally the Hotel Statler, which opened in 1952 in an old building. In 1968, it was acquired by Hilton and turned into the flagship Statler Hilton, and eventually fell into the hands of Hanjin/Korean Air Group. In 1995 and 1999, it was renamed Omni Los Angeles and Wilshire Grand, respectively, and today's InterContinental was built after the original building was demolished in 2011. After completion, with a height of 335 meters, it took over the title of 'tallest building in California'. The InterContinental Downtown Los Angeles opened in 2017, with 889 guest rooms, it became the largest InterContinental hotel in the Americas, including 109 suites. The guest room floors are from 31 to 69, all rooms have panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. The Sky Lobby is located on the 70th floor, which has a terrace bar and observation deck, and the bar on the 73rd floor is also 'the highest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere'. The room I stayed in this time was a 'City View Suite' with a generous area of 64 square meters, which is already quite good in North America. Thanks to the Asian taste of the Korean owner and the heavy investment, the interior design did not inherit the usual business style of the InterContinental brand, but instead adopted a simple and sleek modern style, quite similar to Kimpton and Niagara... It is particularly worth mentioning that the bathroom is equipped with a fully automatic bidet, which is very rare in North America. It's still East Asians who understand East Asians. The amenities were also provided with Le Labo Santal 33, but I'm not sure if it has been changed to Bvredo now... This InterContinental has many highlights, such as free valet parking, etc.; of course, there are also downsides, such as the downtown area having many homeless people, poor security, and the process from the ground to the guest room being cumbersome, requiring a change of elevators at the 70th-floor lobby to go down.
