Laojun Mountain Golden Palace

The Golden Palace in Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area, also known as the Five Mothers Golden Palace, is 2173 meters above sea level. It forms a triangle with Liangbao Terrace and Jade Emperor Peak, ingeniously constituting a spectacular pattern of two dragons playing with a pearl. Not only is it an excellent place to view the mountain scenery, but it also becomes the finishing touch of the Golden Top Taoist Temple group with its unique shape. The Golden Palace is located on the single peak north of Laojun Temple. This peak is called the Sunning Field, which is the holy land where Nuwa, the mother of mankind, created human beings. It is said that Nuwa kneaded humans from yellow clay here and created mankind. There used to be a Nuwa Palace on the top of the mountain, which was burnt down by thunder and lightning at the end of the Ming Dynasty. It was later rebuilt, which is the Golden Palace that everyone sees now.
