One of the oldest temple

Wat Manorom is claimed to be one of Luang Prabang's oldest temples, with the main ordination hall, also known as a sim in Lao, as its distinguishing feature. A bronze Buddha statue can be found inside the sim, which is supposed to date back to 1372, however it has been renovated multiple times. The journey to the wat is an adventure in and of itself, as you must navigate twisting streets to reach the main courtyard, but it is well worth the effort. A good hike from your accommodation to this temple is very refreshing. #art#ancientlandmark#historicculture#summervacation#hikingtrails#urbanexplorer
