Jinping Mountain Scenic Area in Mile, Yunnan, features the Colorful Pond

The Jinping Mountain Scenic Area is a landmark attraction in Mile, and a major highlight is the giant Maitreya Buddha statue at the top of the mountain. I headed straight for the Colorful Pond on the side of the scenic area. Under the clear sky, the pond is man-made, and the water is not a deposit of calcium carbonate, which makes the colors rather monotonous. However, the structure is unique and, coupled with the vibrant plants, there is a beauty that catches the eye. It's nice to wander around in the vast space at leisure. The scenic area is far from the downtown area, but you can reach the entrance by taking the No. 12 bus. This is also the farthest place I've visited during my stay in Mile.
