Phra Pathom Chedi, Nakhon Pathom Province

Many people are familiar with and have visited the “Phra Pathom Chedi” 🙏🏻, the largest stupa in Thailand. Originally known as “Phra Tham Chedi,” it is located in Phra Pathom Chedi Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Phra Pathom Chedi is a large, inverted bell-shaped stupa. Inside the stupa, there are many important and interesting features within the temple. For example: - The White Stone Buddha Image: This is a Dvaravati-era Buddha image in the First Sermon posture, seated with crossed legs. It is three times larger than an average person. - Cloister: Surrounding the base of the stupa is a circular cloister. At the four cardinal points of the cloister, there are viharns (sanctuaries). In addition to the aforementioned features, there are many other significant and interesting points within the temple.
